Five reasons Denver is the perfect location for the PROS Outperform conference

  1. Food & Drink:
Food: Did you know that the cheeseburger was invented in Denver? In 1935, Louis Ballast, who owned the Humpty Dumpty Drive-In, applied for a patent for a cheeseburger sandwich. You can still see the spot where the drive-in used to be northwest of downtown Denver. Additionally, Elvis once flew to Denver for a sandwich. In 1976, he took his private jet to Denver, had 30 sandwiches delivered to his plane, then flew back home after he and his crew had eaten. The sandwich was made from a full jar of blueberry jam, a jar of peanut butter, and a pound of bacon on a hollowed-out loaf of bread.

Drink: Come for the networking, stay for the beer! Denver is home to over 150 breweries, with over 80 in the city of Denver alone. The Wynkoop Brewing Company (only 1 mile from the event location) is known for being Colorado’s first brewpub. Their tasty beverages are hand-brewed beneath their massive beer and pool hall, where you can play games and pool, or just relax and enjoy the beer and food.
Outperform is centrally located among dozens of amazing restaurants, bars and coffee shops. We’re positive you’ll leave the conference with your mind (and stomach) full and happy.

  2. Mile High: Seated one mile above sea level, nothing quite beats the views of the Rocky Mountains. Not only will you see them when you fly in, but you can see them from downtown as well. There are 200 named peaks visible from Denver, including 32 that soar to 13,000 feet and above. Sure, the air might be a little thinner, but hey, elevate your location, elevate your learning, right?

  3. Sunshine: Denver is known for over 300 days of sunshine a year and the average temperature in May is 70 degrees. Now, be prepared it can also snow in May, but don’t worry the sun will still peek its head out regardless. It’s going to be gorgeous, just don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and ChapStick.

  4. Walkability: Denver boasts the 10th largest downtown in America and one of the most walkable. Need to stretch your legs between sessions? No problem, Denver is one of the country's most walkable and visitor-friendly downtowns. Denver is also home to the longest continuous street in the United States, Colfax Avenue, which is a little over 50 miles long,

  5. People: There’s a reason Denver is one of hottest cities for people to move to. It’s the people. You’ll surround yourself with like-minded people at the conference and welcoming smiles on the streets. There’s a reason many locals refer to it as ColoRADo.
